I exit the squat, white building
walking from the light
pooled at the entrance
into the night
I know they are out there
the little boys
they want to play
so do I
my little boys
clamber down from their tree
grabbing their bikes
as I hop on mine
Off we go
speeding through the night
My smile begins to grow
Laughing, calling, hooting
they chase
but cannot catch me
as I hop curbs and take fast turns
the wind whipping in my face
But, despite my speed
And, despite my skills
they are always there
The dim light of the building
comes back in view
And I get confused
When you ride in circles
Its easy to do
