The sky was beautiful
Full of dust, clouds, lightning
I am always amazed by the enormity
Of the desert skies
And not just today
With powerful monsoon clouds
Every day I am amazed
By the desert skies
I hope you see
While driving, while walking
I hope you look where I look
A strong antidote
For envy or a tough commute
I give thanks
For our desert skies
