13 Goals? Interesting. So, I googled the #13

I just posted my goals and aspirations for 2006 and was struck that there were 13. I had always heard that is was an unlucky number. But, I googled the "Significance of the number 13" and found this...

"The Maya and Aztec of Central America thought of the number thirteen has a symbol of transformation, that it represented a re-birth into a higher state of consciousness beyond the Earthly existence.
The Mayan belief of the number thirteen representing a transformation of consciousness can only be fully understood when we become more educated and more aware of our true nature in connection to that of the universe. It is the ‘perception’ or ‘personality’ that alters in thought structure and concept during a transformation, and is something to be embraced - it is not an ending, just a continuation of one’s existence. It is a realization or remembrance of our true identity, all we do during this transition, is simply shed our altered perception of the Universe into recognition that we ARE the Universe."

Very cool I thought. Very much the transformation I believe I am experiencing!
