You have to check this out...it is very cool!

http://specials.washingtonpost.com/onbeing/

This is a special feature from the Washington Post with quick videos of people telling their own life stories in a brief and poignant manner. I like it because I get to hear perspectives from people I might not otherwise ever meet. A little glimpse into the minds of humanity.

Like the nun...

And the cheese lady...

And Gio! A seven-year old, his commentary kept me laughing the whole way through.

Like when reflecting on his life struggles (yes, there are struggles even at seven) he says, "But if I die in my sleep I then don't even need to worry because I will be in heaven or hell, either one." He adds quickly,"I think I am going to be in heaven, because I have this little feeling that I'm special." Yes you are Gio; as are we all!

Here is the text from the site:

onBeing is a project based on the simple notion that we should get to know one another a little better. What you’ll find here is a series of videos that takes you into the musings, passions, histories and quirks of all sorts of people. The essence of who they are, who we are.

There will be a new video every Wednesday, so check back often. In the meantime, feel free to add your thoughts to the comments section and tell us about someone you’d like to see in onBeing. Over time, we should end up with a pretty cool community...

One of the reasons I like it is because the videos are short and well produced. You can catch a video in between meetings and are assured you are getting a high quality product (much better than you might find on YouTube).

Enjoy!
