Life moves fast!

Okay, so just some random Saturday night thoughts:
  • Life is good - as Lisa's brother Marty said, "your life is your job" I think I am doing alright. I love my job.
  • I love Beth - just had to throw that in, because I do, she is one special lady, what an amazing person!
  • I really enjoy taking pictures - check my photoblog for some updates
  • Wish me luck - I applied to grad school, Master in Nonprofit studies at ASU, and hope to begin part time in the Spring, while still working full time. My GPA isn't great but I have some stellar letters of recommendation. Thanks be to wonderful people who write well!
  • Marty and Mary - Lisa's brother is Marty, his wife is Mary. They are great people. I met them and envied their life and lifestyle. I got over it and just tried to pull some lessons from my meeting. Those lessons include, "your life is your is your job" and, "it is what it is".
  • My video invitation - Marty's idea, he thought I had some good things to say. It was nice that he wanted to tape it; it is nice to be wanted. No one has replied yet. Please reply. I am going to send a video to Marty and try to start a conversation over video blogging with him.
  • Soma Fm.com - listen, it is cool, mellow music. Highly recommended - Lisa gave me the idea. I ran a cable from our computer in our office on one side of our house to our stereo in the living room at the other side of the house (lots of prepositions there) and we stream Soma all the time! Chill baby, chill. We are listening right now.
  • Lisa - check out her Musings She is so direct, so honest. Raw. And one of my best friends. She is posting every day for November. Check her out and encourage her.
  • Comments - I know people read this thing. I welcome comments.
  • People - I love people. I love friends. I am blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people - you are all wonderful, beautiful, doing your best and making this world more wonderful because of it. Thank you for being in my life in whatever way you are in my life.
  • The Filbecks (and Babcock-Stiners) - I visited Greg, my best friend, and his family in Erie early in October and also had a chance to visit my brother Jason and sister-in-law, Ann. It was great. I love Greg so much. And his family. We speak the same language. It is all NF, all analyzing people, all the time. In a loving way, by the way. Don't worry, we just love people and love talking about people. He wrote the most kick ass recommendation for grad school for me. I mean, wow. The letter is so flattering, it almost makes me cry. Jason and Ann are cool too. Jason is one of the most consistent long distance friends I have. One day I will write a blog post on that.
  • What's to come - who knows? I might start a new position at VSUW, we shall see. Grad school should change my life. And then there is adding in a kid. Craziness man, I tell you craziness.
  • Plants - Beth and I are going to Burning Man next year. People are encouraged to bring art projects. Mine will be a room of aloe plants - the theme for Burning Man '07 is GREEN. I am growing them now. I have about 10 plants so far. I would like to have 100.
  • Blackberry - I have one. I love it. Nuff said.
  • Go Dems, Go! - I went door to door today for one of the AZ Democratic House candidates. It was the second time I went door to door and I have also phone banked. The Dems will only win if we liberals put our time where our mouths are. Go help out and go vote. It is not too late. Tuesday is a big day!
  • Wheels - I have been riding a lot! Beth and I did a 180 mile ride for charity last week. I rode in a mountain bike race this morning. I love it! So much fun. Greg Brown and I are going to ride duo in the 24 hour race this Feb.
  • Costa Rice - Greg, Lisa, Beth and I are headed down to CR in Jan for an 8 day vacation. We will explore around for three - four days before joining Marty and Mary in their crazy, surfer village on the SW coast. We will party with Marty and Mary hardcore!
  • Mom and Kenny - they are coming in December, over Christmas! Finally! I am thrilled!
  • Sheesh, so much - I could write about so much. I am so blessed with so much. Man, I hope it lasts! And, if it doesn't last, but I think it will, but if it doesn't, I will come back to this post and think, "I had that. I had that."

I love life. It is hard sometimes, but I love it. Sure, I love it more when it is good. But I am okay with that. And I love all of you. All of you. Each of you. Praise be.
