Talk to you Monday!

Our vacation is 18 hours away; we leave at 7AM tomorrow for Chicago, I can't believe it is finally here. It has been a series of very full, intense and tiring days at and outside of work leading up to our four day trip. Work trainings, mountain biking, spin instructing, CEO call"ing" are all activities I have focused on just getting through before tomorrow.

Although I am looking forward to our weekend with friends it is a tough time of year at UW to take a couple days off work. Almost every work day, for the last seven or so, I have been here for at least 10 hours; only part of that extra time is due to preparing to take Thursday and Friday off this week. On top of that I continue to mountain bike, work out and keep up my full social schedule. I am feeling a little drained and hoping that I can finally catch up on sleep on the plane tomorrow, that is of course after I get through tonight teaching spin, lifting weights, running to Target and packing. It is all good stuff and I wouldn't trade any of it or have it any other way.

Funny, at lunch today one of my coworkers remarked that we should pay the bill and get going because I looked antsy. I said yes, I was, that I had written out intentions for Chicago to be relaxed, in the moment and present, but sorry, it's not Chicago until tomorrow, so lets go!

I look forward to transitioning tonight from an almost spastic state of mind to a more relaxed place and will take some time to meditate on the plane tomorrow, moving myself in the direction of my intentions. I will print them out as a reminder throughout the trip. I know intentions work - I wrote out an intention to lose nine pounds and weigh no more than 200 pounds by our Chicago trip and I am happy to report I achieved my intention, met my weight loss goal and am going into this weekend more fit than at any other point in my life!

So, off I go!
I will report back Monday or Tuesday, and am confident it will be a glowing description of a wonderful time!
